I have been interested in Wildlife since a early age.As a young child presents always had some sort wildlife theme. At a young age I accompanied my father Coarse fishing around the Chester and local Merseyside parks .During these visits the fascination was always the wildlife and the surroundings.

Shortly after leaving school I purchased two pair of Budgierigars. I soon took over part of the rear garden. A shed was purchased and a outside aviary was erected .During this time I met my wife Marji who also took a keen interest in the birds. We both become members of various cage bird societies, and began to show our birds. We married in 1981,we had three children .All the children showed interest in wildlife.

After numerous years my interest in wildlife became more obsessive that I wanted to record my sightings. In December 2005 I purchased a Canon 20 D body with a 70-300 mm Lens. I soon realised that this lens was not suitable for the type of work I wanted to produce. After viewing some of the fine exhibits of fine photography of birds on ephotozine. I soon purchased a Canon 100-400 mm IS lens. This suited my needs for about 9 months because after joining my local camera club South Liverpool Camera Club.my needs became greater.

So again started to look at purchasing a prime lens Canon 500mm IS F4.After a lot of research it soon became apparent that this was the ideal lens to complete my set up.  I purchased this lens in October 2006 . I hope the results show that this lens is a must for all inspiring wildlife photographers.

Most of my spare time is now taken up attempting to capture the real beauty of local nature. Thanks for taking the time to view my images, your comments are always welcome.
